WAHA Emergency Manager Certification Program

BE RECOGNIZED FOR YOUR PROFESSIONALISM

IN EMERGENCY MANAGMENT

Not Just a Job...A Profession

Emergency Management has grown from the days of civil defense.  In the old days in Wyoming, "emergency manager" was simply a part time job where plans would occasionally be updated and shelters opened for major snow storms.  Now, Emergency Management is a full-time profession.  Today's Wyoming Emergency Manager is responsible for planning, communications, mass notification and warning, accommodating special needs populations, managing an EOC, coordinating between multiple levels of government, and much more.

Emergency Managers are not just found in Wyoming County government anymore, either. They are also found in Public Health departments, hospitals, Non-Governmental Organizations, municipalities, public works, and private business.

You work hard to maintain a high level of competency and professionalism as a Wyoming Emergency Manager.  You should be recognized for that, and the Wyoming Emergency Manager Certification Program can help.
