Committees and Projects

The Wyoming All Hazards Association undertakes various projects as proposed by membership, recommended by peer professional groups, or suggested by State or Local agencies. In order for WAHA to take on a project, it must further the mission of our organization by promoting all hazards planning, preparedness, response, recovery, or mitigation. Projects may be addressed by committees or special workshops. Project resources and Project Committee information will be posted on this page.

Past projects include the Wyoming Emergency Manager Certification Program and the Wyoming Inter-County Mutual Aid Agreement.

Current Projects

Tier II Resource Typing and Inventorying

WAHA has been asked by the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security to assist in developing a methodology for Tier II resource typing and inventorying for the State of Wyoming. This fits hand-in-hand with the Wyoming Inter-County Mutual Aid Agreement.

Emergency Management Guide for Electeds

Increasing awareness among elected officials at the local level of what their responsibilities are during an emergency is of utmost importance. It also helps new elected officials to understand the roles that Emergency Management and Public Health play in supporting them and serving the community in times of crisis. This project is focused on creating the appropriate tool and avenue to relay this information to local elected officials across Wyoming.
